State Employees' career transition center

The State Employees' Career Transition Center (SECTC) opened on June 1, 2011 through the partnership of the Division of Workforce Development within the Department of Commerce, the Division of Employment Security (DES), and the Office of State Personnel (OSP) to serve the needs of those affected by a Reduction in Force (RIF). The SECTC offers the following services:

  • One-on-One Meetings with Counselors
  • Assistance with Application Preparation/Update
  • Computer Access for Job Search
  • Fax machine
  • Long Distance Telephone Calls
  • Printer/Copier
  • Resume software to assist with developing/designing resumes
  • Employment Services staff from JobLink on site Monday – Friday 9:00am – 12 noon 
  • Staff from Unemployment Insurance Section of the Division of Employment Security on site Tuesday and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The SECTC is located at 313 Chapanoke Road, Suite 130 in Raleigh.
