NC Flex offers
seven voluntary benefits (pre-tax):
To participate in NCFlex, you must work 20 or more hours per week in a permanent, probationary or time-limited position.

care plan is optional. To be eligible for enrollment, the enrollee must
be one of the following and between the ages of 18 and 85:

The State pays for on-the-job injury or job connected illness or death through Workers' Compensation |

Employees
are eligible after one year of state service for short term disability;
they are eligible for long-term disability after five years of service

The State Employees' Assistance Program is a confidential service of North Carolina State Government designed to assist state government employees and their immediate family members resolve personal problems before they disrupt personal or work life.
